What the world needs now…

(Is still) LOVE! At least that’s what the founders of moreloveletters.com say.
Have you ever received a compliment or kind word at just the right time? Whether it’s from a loved one or someone in passing, we all know, sometimes the unexpected kind words mean the most. This Valentine’s Day, you can pay it forward by spending time writing a love letter… to a stranger.
Yes, it sounds a bit crazy, write a letter to someone you’ll never meet.
But those words of encouragement, gratitude and love have the power to change someone’s day, for the better! It’s easy to do, and what you’ll get in return could surprise you. In the coming weeks, visit moreloveletters.com and see what the “love buzz” is all about. Sign up to send a letter, or be on the receiving end of one. Here are some tips for writing a successful love letter:
1. Make it fun! Start with your favorite writing utensil and a piece of paper. The possibilities are endless when it comes to stationery, stickers, calligraphy pens and anything else you can find at your local craft store!
2. Let the words flow. Get creative with your letter writing; don’t be afraid to just “let it flow.” (Keep in mind the idea is to inspire and uplift someone, so no need to get mushy with hearts and cupids.)
3. Keep it anonymous. The idea behind this movement is to create personal moments between strangers. This lets the receiver focus on the words rather than who wrote them, which is most important anyway!
4. Jot it down. Keep a record of your journey, writing and receiving letters. The warm and fuzzies you will experience will be well worth it.
This month, spread the love “not just for some, but for everyone!”
