SDi worked with IU Libraries in developing a new newsletter format and design for communicating more timely information on what was happening at the libraries across the state of Indiana. IU Libraries (IUL) wanted to scale back their hard copy, 12-page, quarterly newsletter to provide dual delivery via print and online.

Having developed IU Libraries newsletter for several years, SDi and IUL collaborated on how the publication could deliver more timely information and make the newsletter editable in-house at IUL with limited resources. Shelle Design developed a tri-folded newsletter that provided “summarized” versions of the full stories and encouraged readers to visit the online version. We then developed the online version that is maintained by IUL to post information more frequently than the quarterly print version. Currently, SDi continues to provide design and layout of each print issue of Sources.
